Wander among vanilla-scented blossoms and other native wildflowers as pollinators move from flower to flower\, observing the many insects tucked among the leaves and petals. Slow your pace and notice the intricate structure of a milkweed blossom\, the hum of native bees at work\, and the flash of orange from a passing monarch. Explore the rich community of plants\, pollinators\, and other insects\, and learn simple ways you can support them at home. \n\nCheck in at the Visitor Center\, then meet your guide.\nThe tour begins promptly — please arrive on time.\nRestrooms are available at the beginning and end of the tour.\nRegistration required. An adult must accompany all teens.\n\nAbout your guide: Nancy is the Pollinator Preserve Coordinator at Tyler Arboretum\, a Tyler docent\, and a Pennsylvania Master Naturalist. She enjoys sharing many aspects of nature with others\, including the gardens\, collections\, and history. Designed as a moderate cardio workout\, we’ll cover about 2½ to 3 miles at a steady pace—but don’t worry\, we’ll also take time to pause for those unexpected moments nature has in store. \n\nGates open at 7:45 am\nThe group leaves promptly from the parking lot at 8:10 am.\nPlease arrive on time.\nCheck in with your experienced guide in the parking lot.\nRestrooms will be open.\n\nWhat to expect on the trail: \n\n2½ to 3-mile moderately paced hike\nWalking surfaces that include pavement\, grass\, gravel\, and rocky trails\nWalking surfaces that include pavement\, grass\, gravel\, and rocky trails\nChanges in grade\, including possible steep hills\n\nWhat to wear & carry: \n\nDress in layers for the weather\nHiking boots or shoes with good tread\nWater & snacks\nHiking poles\n\nPRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED \nMembers (sign in for your discount!): Adults: FREE \nNon-Members: Adults (ages 18-64):$18 per person; Seniors (ages 65+): $15 per person.
