No experience necessary\, just a willingness to see with fresh eyes and make something new.  \nWe’ll begin with introductions and a contemplative walk through the garden\, noticing light\, texture\, color\, and form. Then settle into a spot that calls to you and enjoy generous time for independent creative work—whether that means filling a sketchbook\, capturing images\, or crafting words.  \nAt midday\, gather for a bring-your-own picnic lunch and conversation about how gardens feed creative life\, refill the creative well\, and spark new work. After lunch\, receive additional prompts and continue your practice with fresh inspiration.  \nWe’ll close with optional sharing followed by practical ways to sustain Chanticleer’s inspiration in your creative life long after you leave.  \nCome as you are. SUMMARY:Chanticleer:  An Afternoon with Chanticleer Gardeners: Autumn in the Garden
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, October 10\, 3-6 pm \n\nJoin Chanticleer Horticulturists Joe Henderson and David Mattern for an autumn afternoon of practical gardening and conversation in our signature Tea & Talk format. Together\, Joe and David will share techniques for preparing the garden for the seasons ahead\, including the division and care of spring-blooming bulbs. \nFollowing a short presentation\, join Joe and David in the garden for hands-on demonstrations and a closer look at how Chanticleer gardeners approach autumn work. With two Chanticleer horticulturists leading the program\, there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions\, compare approaches\, and hear how their individual experiences and perspectives inform their work. This portion of the program will be from 3-5pm. \nFrom 5-6pm\, we’ll finish the afternoon with a community picnic (bring your own) while Joe and David circulate to answer questions and continue the conversation. \nA relaxed afternoon of practical gardening\, seasonal inspiration\, and behind-the-scenes time with the people who care for Chanticleer’s gardens.
