David and has over 25 years of tourism experience and formerly served as Vice President of Sales for the Pocono Mountains Convention and Visitors Bureau, Inc, and the Bucks County CVB.
David is responsible for business and revenue growth, research, planning, and implementing new target market initiatives.
He currently serves on the Executive Board for (NYSAE) New York Society of Association Executives and is a former past president of Philadelphia Chapter of Meetings Professionals International (MPI).
Assistant Dean of the Division of Business, Computing, and Social Science at Delaware County Community College.
Before joining DCCC, Joy developed and executed the first Hospitality Management degree program at the Culinary Institute of America. She began her academic career at Widener University’s School of Hospitality Management. Before academia, Dr. Dickerson enjoyed a career in food and events management, working with several organizations in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Joy has been involved with industry associations, including the American Hotel and Lodging Association, the Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association, the National Association for Catering and Events, and most actively with the International Council of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education (I-CHRIE), serving currently in the role of Immediate Past President.
Executive Director of the PHL Life Sciences
Bonnie and PHL Life Sciences are responsible for marketing Greater Philadelphia. PHL Life Sciences assists PHLCVB in an advisory capacity to help attract related conventions, meetings, and new business to Philadelphia.
She has served on the national board of the Healthcare Convention Exhibitors Association, the Meeting Professional International’s (MPI) MD advisory council, and the Professional Convention Management Association’s (PCMA) Medical Meetings Task Force. She is a current board member of the Philadelphia chapter of PCMA.
Bonnie also served in municipal government as Deputy City Representative under the administrations of Mayors Edward G. Rendell and John F. Street, and also served as director of communications for Greater Philadelphia Urban Affairs Coalition; the Philadelphia Eagles; Chestnut Hill College, Chestnut Hill Academy, and Spring Garden College.
Associate Professor with Temple University’s School of Sport, Tourism, and Hospitality Management.
Ira teaches several event management courses and is the Program Director for the School’s Event Leadership Executive Certificate Program. Additionally, for over thirty years he owned and operated Entertainment On Location, Inc., a full-service event production and consulting company.
Prior to opening EOL, Ira worked for Radio City Music Hall Productions. His production background includes the Super Bowl, multi-million-dollar parades, major corporate events around the world and tourism development projects for many different organizations.
Senior Partner in The Creative Group, Inc.
Dedicated to the creation, production, implementation, and promotion of programs, The Creative Group, Inc. has successfully staged over 3,400 major special events and meetings throughout the United States and around the world.
He was named to a legislative assistant post in Philadelphia City Council and appointed Assistant Managing Director of the City of Philadelphia to plan and implement the 300th anniversary of the City for 1982 and later became Chief of Staff in U.S. Congress to produce special events beginning with the 200th anniversary of the U.S. Constitution.
Fred eventually started the event management program at Temple University in the Fox School of Business School of Hospitality Management and started the Drexel special event curriculum.
With events around the country from the grand opening of the Paris Las Vegas Casino and the Miami Performing Arts Center to the 300th anniversary of Mobile, Alabama, he has also enjoyed numerous regional spectaculars such as the 300th anniversary of Philadelphia and groundbreakings as well as grand openings of most of the museums in the city.
