DESCRIPTION:The Delaware Valley Chapter of the Ohara School of Ikebana will present an exhibition in celebration of the changing of the seasons from summer to fall. Ikebana\, also known as the “way of flowers\,” is the art of Japanese flower arrangement and is subtle\, sensitive\, sophisticated\, and meditative. It utilizes flowers\, leaves\, and branches\, as well as unexpected and/or unconventional materials. \nMembers of the Ohara School of Ikebana will be available to answer questions about the art form and arrangements displayed throughout the exhibition. \nThis event is free and open to the public. \nSchedule: \nThursday\, September 17 \n\n4:00 – 6:00 pm: Meet and Greet with the Exhibitors – registration required [Link to Meet and Greet page]\n\nFriday\, September 18 \n\n12:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Exhibition open to the public\n2:00 – 2:30 pm: Ohara School of Ikebana Demonstration\n5:30 – 6:00 pm: Ohara School of Ikebana Demonstration\n\nSaturday\, September 19 \n\n10:00 am – 4:00 pm: Exhibition open to the public\n11:00 am – 12:00 pm: In-Person Highlights Tour of Scott Arboretum & Gardens\n12:00 – 2:00 pm: Ikebana Flower Arranging Make-and-Take for All Ages\n\nEmail us if you have accessibility needs for this program.
