Following its acclaimed world premiere at the Festival at Highmark Mann, BalletX brings The Four Seasons Reimagined to the intimate setting of the Topper Theatre at Villanova University’s Mullen Center for four performances only.
An epic love letter to Mother Nature, this breathtaking new work invites audiences into a living, breathing world shaped by music, movement, light, and design. Acclaimed composer and electronic music innovator Dan Deacon creates a thrilling original score as four visionary choreographers – Morgann Runacre-Temple (Summer), Penny Saunders (Fall), Jamar Roberts (Winter), and Trey McIntyre (Spring) – each bring a distinct season to life, revealing nature in all its beauty, power, and resilience.
Featuring visually arresting costumes and immersive scenic design by Emma Kingsbury, with evocative lighting by Christopher Ash, the production transforms the stage into a richly theatrical landscape. Inspired by Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons and reimagined through a contemporary lens, this unforgettable collaboration draws audiences into an intimate, stunning journey through the majesty, volatility, and wonder of our planet.
