Villanova Theater Presents: Urinetown

April 18 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Villanova Theatre proudly presents Urinetown on stage at the Mullen Center for the Performing Arts from April 16th – 26th. This hilarious and subversive musical depicts a drought stricken dystopian society where private toilets are outlawed and there is a fee to pee. When a custodian of Public Facility #9 decides he’s had enough of the megacorporation, Urine Good Company, he leads his community in a revolution to free citizens from the financial burden of paying to pee.

This three-time Tony Award-winning musical saw success both on and off-Broadway in the early 2000s and was recently nominated for a Drama League Award for Outstanding Revival of a Musical in 2025. Urinetown remains a beloved political satire that delivers a perfect stream of irreverent humor aimed at capitalism, social justice, environmental collapse, and musical theater itself.

Urinetown will run from April 16th to April 26th in the Topper Theatre at Villanova’s John and Joan Mullen Center for the Performing Arts (at Lancaster and Ithan Avenues) on Thursdays-Saturdays at 8PM and Sundays at 2PM. Tickets run $26-$30 with discounts available for students, seniors, MA in Theatre alumni and groups. Tickets may be purchased online at www.villanovatheatre.org or by calling the box office at 610.519.7474.
