A chill hike for college students and twenty-somethings

Need a break from scrolling, studying, or stressing? Grab your crew—or come solo—and join us for a low-pressure, high-vibe nature walk designed with Gen Z in mind. Explore forest paths, open meadows, and Insta-worthy views while checking out cool plants and all the stuff you miss when life moves too fast. Whether you’re a plant lover, nature nerd, or just looking for some fresh air and chill conversation, this one-hour hike is your chance to reset. Move at a relaxed pace, stop to notice what’s weird and wonderful, and maybe even spot some wildlife along the way. Unplug (a little), connect (for real), and remind yourself that nature’s been here the whole time. Closed-toe shoes with tread are recommended. Bring your reusable water bottle and be ready to walk on a mix of asphalt, gravel, and natural surfaces.

Meet Your Guide

Malcolm has been part of Tyler Arboretum’s team for over three years. He created this hike to help young adults and college students connect with nature—and each other—in a relaxed, low-key way. It’s a chill, recurring space for Gen Z to unplug, explore, and vibe with the outdoors—no pressure, just good company and fresh air.

NON-MEMBERS: $10 per person
