Brewers Sam Hollis and Keith Hartwig of Succession Fermentory will be demonstrating how beer was made in the mid 1700s. Working with the historically modeled brewing equipment at Newlin Grist Mill they will brew an 18th century farmhouse ale crafted with locally grown and malted grains, heirloom Pennsylvania hops, and yeast harvested from the landscape. There will also be beer to sample and plenty of discussion to be had about how brewing has transformed over the last three centuries.
