Marcus Hook Memorial Day Parade

The annual Marcus Hook Memorial Day Parade will begin at noon, starting on 10th Street at the Marcus Hook-Trainer line. At Market Street the parade will head south and conclude at Market Square Memorial Park, the borough’s beautiful waterfront park.
The parade will feature a number of marching bands, musical groups, and organizations including the Corvette Club of Media, Stars & Stripes Bars and Pipes, Avalon String Band/Polish American String Band, Trinidad North Steel Band, Woodland String Band, Valley Forge Highlanders, Verdi Marching Band, West Powelton Steppers, Ballet Folklorico Mexico Lindo Dancers, Quaker City String Band, Three Aksha, Chichester High School Marching Band, as well as Uncle Sam and the Statue of Liberty, along with many other civic and community groups.
Long time Marcus Hook resident R.J. Myers will be serving as grand marshal in this year’s parade. He served in the Navy from 1960 to 1964 and was stationed in Vietnam.
Following the parade, the Vietnam Veterans of Delaware County, Chapter 67, will hold a memorial service at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Market Square Memorial Park.
