Arboretum horticulturist, Angie Merriken, for a winter stroll focusing on tree identification.
Join us for a peaceful winter walk as we explore the quiet beauty of trees in their leafless form. Learn to identify local species by bark, buds, and branching patterns, and deepen your appreciation for the subtle signs of life that persist through the cold season. Whether you’re a nature enthusiast or just curious, this guided walk is a perfect way to connect with the natural world — even in winter.
Wear good walking shoes and dress for the weather. In the case of inclement weather we will attempt to reschedule this walk among the participants. Parking can be found in our visitor parking lot and participants will meet for the tour at the Facilities Management Building.
