Delco Profile: Ragini Parmar Celebrates Women in Wine at Nature’s Vin in Wayne Overview

Part chic wine bar, part bottle shop, and part educational space, Nature’s Vin is an exciting new destination in Wayne, PA, for wine aficionados and newbies alike. Its menu and shelves feature sustainable, natural wines made by female winemakers, ranging from approachable sippers, like crisp, sparkling vinho verde, to beguiling, boundary-pushing pours, like herbaceous skin contact pinot gris from California’s Central Coast. Whether you want to meet up with the girls for a drink or take a deep-dive into a winemaker’s farming practices, there’s a seat for you at the bar.

For Nature’s Vin owner and founder Ragini Parmar, this is exactly the point of the space.

“I see the bar as a way to create a safe and inclusive space for everyone,” she notes. “We’re here to create an environment where people can create and be part of a great community. Wine is just the vehicle.”

Pamar’s own journey to this juncture was a circuitous one. The majority of her career was spent in the tech industry: growing start-ups, helping companies build strong team culture, and creating Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs. During these decades, the Blue Bell native lived in New York City and the Bay Area. While living in San Francisco she discovered natural wine.

After complaining to her doctor that even one glass of red wine left her with a headache, she began exploring natural wines — that is, wines often made with organically and biodynamically farmed grapes and made with minimal interventions, without the additives typically found in conventional wines (for more info, see Nature’s Vin’s definition of natural wine). There was a restaurant in her neighborhood that specialized in this type of wine, and she soon became a regular, posting up at the bar and chatting with staff about the exciting glass pours on offer. Soon, her interest in natural wine blossomed into a hobby, and then grew into a passion.

During COVID-19 pandemic, Parmar retired early from her tech career and moved to Delaware County to be closer to friends and family.

“After some time off, I wanted to figure out what to do next and see how I could give back to my community,” she remembers. “I also kept trying to find natural wines around here, and while there were some, it wasn’t a big selection.”

This gap in the market sparked an idea: a wine bar right in her own town where she could help others delve into the exciting world of natural wine while simultaneously uplifting female winemakers and entrepreneurs.

Parmar worked with a female-led construction company to build out her dream space on Lancaster Avenue: warm, welcoming and full of light. She was so dedicated to making the space feel homey that she designed a replica of her own living room in the lounge space.

“I wanted it to feel like a home away from home,” she says.

Nature’s Vin opened in early November 2025. On one side of the space is the wine bar and lounge area with a frequently-rotating by-the-glass menu, an extensive bottle list, savory snacks and light bites. A breezeway to the retail shop on the other side is lined with empty bottles filled with messages of hope and encouragement, written by Parmar’s friends and family. The wine shop features over 100 wines at a time, boutique-y gifts made by women artisans and a communal table where tastings and craft workshops are hosted.

While walk-in guests are always welcome, those in search of a more interactive experience can book a 1.5-hour guided tasting with Nature’s Vin’s sommelier, Elyse Lovenworth, another Wayne resident.

“I feel so blessed to work with Elyse,” Parmar says. “She has 18 years of experience, with much of that time spent in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. I found her through LinkedIn, and at first I was just learning from her, and picking her brain. She joined me in June!”

So far, the response to Nature’s Vin has been enthusiastic, with both locals and visitors from Philly thrilled about this new wine destination.

“The community has really rallied around wanting this kind of space to meet with family, friends and colleagues — we’ve even had book clubs and gardening clubs start to meet here!” Parmar says.

Frequent events, like a tasting with Philadelphia’s own Pray Tell Wines, and a new monthly drag bingo, further cement Nature’s Vin’s identity as a community-focused space. And even though, in some respects, the hospitality industry is a far cry from the tech world, Parmar sees a meaningful overlap in these chapters in her career.

“My expertise is in building thriving culture — that’s what I’ve studied and done for years — and so much of my much work has been about empowering women and bringing them to the forefront,” she notes. “Yes, that was in another industry, but the skill set is extremely transferable!”

Nature’s Vin is open Tuesday through Friday from 4-10 p.m, Saturday from noon to 10 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. Reservations are required for parties of five or more; for more information, visit its website.
