Fido Approved: Delco’s Favorite Dog-Friendly Restaurants
Who’s a good doggie? Yup, it’s your pup! Perhaps no creature enjoys being out with you more than your trusty best friend. Treat her to a special time by choosing a dog-friendly restaurant for your next night out.
Peruse this paw-some list, leash up your Fifi, grab a water bowl and a few dog treats, and head out. It goes without saying — but we’ll say it anyway! — that these restaurants welcome well-behaved dogs who play well with adults, kids and other dogs. “Bone” appetit!
Small-Town Heaven
In the dog days of summer you might find that your favorite Delco haunts are offering outside dining — and that more than usual suddenly become dog-friendly. “Everyone’s Hometown” has a best-kept secret: Plum Street Mall. This pedestrian walkabout, running from Front to Baker streets, has seating — some shaded! — that’s perfect for grabbing takeout when you want to bring your doggie along. Virtually all of Media’s eateries are offering to-go, so why not put that good boy in the car and dine al fresco? If you and your Buddy prefer a different vibe, then consider Sterling Pig Brewery’s outdoor seating. You’ll be the one getting the treat while quaffing one of its freshly made beers and nibbling on its next-level pub grub.

Zac’s Hamburgers
It’s a dog’s life at all three locations featuring outdoor picnic-style seating, perfect for Rover. Please note that table service isn’t available, so bring a “hooman” along to take your order. If you’re solo, your dog will need to be tied up outside when you go inside to order.

Christopher’s: A Neighborhood Place

White Dog Cafe
Seems kind of obvious, right? Their Delco locations in Haverford, Glen Mills, and Wayne welcome your pooch to dine beside you in their outdoor dining areas. Open Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
